Christmas Pageant

On Friday morning Sarra's school held their annual Advent Pageant. It usually commences with a walk through the streets to school. Parents and locals line the footpath waving and clapping. The kids love it.

But this year it was raining cats and dogs so it was held in the Westbury sports centre. It was quite dark inside so my camera did not take very good shots. It kept focusing on people's heads rather than beyond their big boofs to the performances.

Sarra's 1/2 class sang Christmas Bells and they each wore cardboard bells that they decorated themselves. It was really quite good and they all kept together in rhythm even when they were swaying like bells.

Alice and Hannah
Hallie and Oliver were quite ratty. Hallie kept asking when she could have her free sausage. The different churches around Westbury always put on a free barby so she was only there for the food.

It was a busy day as that night I took the kids to our Christmas crafts Enrichment meeting because Simon had to work. I was a bit nervous because it was our first one with me in the hot seat but everyone helped out and had great fun and cleaned up so we made it home by 10pm.
