For tea Simon requested lasagne, salad and butterscotch pudding and sarsparilla. Not very birthdayish food but he absolutely loves my buttersctoch pudding and lasagne with loads of cheese sauce. Nothing can top last year's present where I surprised Simon by taking him to Cradle Mountain for the night for his 30th. We had massages at the spa sanctuary and had some time to ourselves to enjoy the spectacular nature and scenery up there.
Anyway back to this year, the kids love celebrating birthdays even ones not their own and they had great fun helping Dad unwrap his presents and eating birthday food. They think 31 is really old. I can remember too when I thought anything past 16 was over the hill.
Oliver was really tired before tea and fell asleep on the couch. Here he is just waking up. The reason he decided to wake up was because he heard me yell out 'dessert is ready'.
Doesn't take long for Oliver to perk up when he knows yummy food is around. He loves butterscotch pudding just as much as Dad and with loads of cream. What are birthdays for!!
