Time to "fess" up

Oh dear You all know me so well. I have no idea how to use photoshop and really have no desire how to learn. Yes I too have joined the pregnancy bandwagon. The baby is due on Nov 7, making me 12 wks pregnant.

On Tue morning I had a CVS (chorionic villus sampling) where they put a needle into the placenta and draw out some cells to test the genetics of the baby to see if it has Hallie's condition. It is a little complicated but everytime I fall pregnant there is a 1 in 4 chance it will have CAH (congenital adrenal hyperplasia). I have to have this test because if the baby is a girl with CAH, I need to stay on a drug called dexamethosone until she is born. This negates the need for surgery after her birth, unlike Hallie who needed the surgery because we did not know she had the condition. This is the beauty of knowing for future pregnancies. If it is a boy with CAH, I can go off the drug because boys with the condition do not need surgery. Regardles of the sex if it has CAH, then after birth they will need to follow the same process as Hallie and be on meds and closely monitored for the rest of their life. Simple eh?

So this morning I got a call about the sex of the baby. (It takes another 10 days to find out whether it has CAH).

Drum roll please..................................................................................................................

Ha ha - you are funny making us wait like that! Glad it is a boy for you so you can go off the meds and hopefully the test will come back all clear and he won't have CAH. Two boys and two girls! That is cool.

Wheeler Team! You got me excited thinking that you started a blog!

Simone is a good liar hey!? She has been cracking me up as she keeps telling people she is happy with 3 and all along she was pregnant with the 4th! She kept coming to the gym with bigger and bigger t-shirts on and her shorts she wore weren't as fitting either. It was very funny.

Yeah I had been not posting much because of morning sickness but it was way better than with Oliver. Was in hospital with vomiting with him. At the tail end of it now so house should start looking tidy again soon - blow no more excuses for the mess then!

Great news Simone! Now everything is starting to make sense with the absence of blog entries. I was very dissapointed to go onto your blog and find that there were no entries. Hope you feel better soon, so you can keep blogging. What a perfect family you will have two boys and two girls.
